Valve has published a new release of Proton 4.11-10

Valve has published a new issue of the Proton 4.11-10 project, which is based on the experience of the Wine project and is aimed at ensuring the launch of Linux-based gaming applications created for Windows and presented in the Steam directory.
Proton includes an implementation of DirectX 9 (based on D9VK), DirectX 10/11 (based on DXVK) and DirectX 12 (based on vkd3d), working through the translation of DirectX calls to the Vulkan API, provides improved support for game controllers and the ability to use full-screen mode regardless of the supported screen resolutions in games.

  In the new version:

  • Halo: The Master Chief Collection is now available for the game! Users of older distributions (with gnutls <3.5.4) will need a Steam beta client. Some game modes are disabled due to the lack of EasyAntiCheat support.
  • Major improvements in mouse control. In testing, this improved mouse behavior in Fallout 4, Furi, and Metal Gear Solid V.
  • Added a new integer zoom mode to give crisp pixels when zoomed in. This can be enabled using this environment variable:WINE_FULLSCREEN_INTEGER_SCALING=1.
  • Fixed several controller display issues. This improvement has affected games like Telltale with Xbox and Cuphead controllers and ICEY when using PlayStation 4 controllers via Bluetooth.
  • Improved gamepad force feedback processing, especially for steering wheel controllers.
  • Fixed Metal Gear Solid V freezing at startup.
  • Fixed regression of Xbox controller performance.
  • The Trine 4 frame rate should no longer be tied to 30 frames per second.
  • Fixed frequent crash of IL-2: Attack aircraft.
  • D9VK has been updated to 0.40-RC-p.
  • FAudio has been updated to 12.19.
  • Miscellaneous DXVK fixes.
